Show Card

The first Adobe Backroom Gallery show at our new 24th Street location is opening this month, and will be on view from July 1st – August 23rd.  Curated by Adobe Books Board Member, Calcagno Cullen, the show features the works of 6 local artists: Benjamin Perkins Burke, Tammy Rae Carland, Christian Davies, Erin Colleen Johnson, Susan O’Malley, and Erik Otto.  The opening reception coincides with the grand opening for the new bookstore, July 13th, from 7-11pm, and will feature a performance by Erin Colleen Johnson related to the exhibit.

This exhibit commemorates aspects of community and generosity to create something much bigger than the sum of the parts.  The works here show  hope and perseverance, relationship building, and opportunity. The story of Adobe Books over the past year has had its’ ups and downs to say the least. This exhibit is the opportunity to exhibit work that exemplifies these feelings of hope and generosity that have brought the store to this point, and continued its’ survival thus far.

Stay tuned for images of the show and our new space!
